A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was create
I started writing to Paisley when I was pregnant with her and continued on as we added another little gal to our family. I usually write something to them each birthday, when there’s a milestone, prayers over their life, tidbits about our day, or just a quick note when I’m thinking of it.
Handwritten letters have always been important to me. It’s something my Dad started when I was a little girl, as did my mom, and I also wrote weekly to my Grand when she lived in Texas. I’ve kept every letter I’ve ever gotten. I think it speaks volumes when someone takes the time to put their thoughts to paper for another. It’s special.
I knew when I had kids, I wanted to pass that on.
I have been meaning to share this for two years, but I purchased these beautiful journal covers for them back in 2021. They hold cheap little notebooks you can pick up for $1 at Dollar Tree and switch out when you fill one up. I keep them tucked in my nightstand and pull them out from time to time.
One day when they are older, I’ll even pass them back and forth between us to write to each other. When they get married it’s something I plan to gift to them and hope we keep passing them between us until I’m gone.
Simple gestures end up being treasures and I just wanted to share this sweet little keepsake with you.
