It’s the little things like a dinner bell mounted on your house.
For years I’ve always wanted one, for no particular reason, other than it felt homey and gave me warm and fuzzies. I may use it often or only a handful of times but every time I see it, I smile and so do my girls.
Call me Laura Ingalls, but your home should feel good inside and out. That’s what I’m trying to do here. It’s not a Pinterest house, it’s not big and fancy, but it’s comforting and that’s what matters. This silly dinner bell doesn’t give my family comfort either, that’s not what I’m implying because I know it’s the four of us that do. But it’s these small things that serve as a reminder of the people who reside here and make our barn house home.
