Anniversary Date | Thunder Up!

We celebrated our anniversary a few days early last night. Zack took us to watch the Thunder play the Lakers. It was my first Thunder and NBA game to ever watch and it was so much fun! The atmosphere is crazy.
It was a great win and a really fun game.
After the game we went to Kd’s to eat dinner and have drinks. Kevin Durant is one of the Thunder players and his restaurant just opened. All I can say is WOW. It was amazing. We had so much food and it was all incredible. We even had fun at the restaurant. The menu was all southern food and you could get a variety of different things like chicken and waffles, catfish, gumbo, etc.
A little into dinner a lot of the players showed up so that was really neat to get to see them all.
I feel like we just went out for our anniversary last year and it is already here again. I had a wonderful time on our date-so needed.

One year later and I love you more than ever. We’ve had such a whirlwind of a year and I am so glad I have you to live life with. Happy Anniversary, babe. :)We celebrated all weekend with a fun filled trip to Bricktown. We stayed at The Colcord, the hotel we stayed at on our wedding night. I am in LOVE with this hotel. It was built in 1910 and was the first “skyscraper” in OKC. They have redone a lot of it obviously, but I love the rich history that they left in pieces of it. The outside is gorgeous at night and their Christmas decorations are beautiful. They have huge ornaments everywhere! Stacked on the roof, out on the walkway, they have an area where you can take pictures, and twinkle lights galore!

When we checked in at 3:00, Zack got us a suite. So we go up to put our bags in the room and open the door and what do we see? Grey goose, orange juice, linens everywhere, and people passed out in the bed. Yep, wrong room. The people at the front desk felt terrible and offered to buy us dinner or room service breakfast. We chose the breakfast. The suite was amazing! We had like our own living room thing, a jacuzzi, fluffy robes, huge TV’s (yes that is plural.) I am pretty sure it was bigger than our first house in Harrah. Also? Random photo below but I would like to do our bathroom counters like this in our new house. I like how they are divided so we can have our own space to get ready and the middle part a vanity so I can put my make up on and etc. I would feel like a princess everyday. I’ve always wanted a vanity……. ok. Moving on. I am pretty sure Zack rolled his eyes when I took this photo. :)
We were going to have dinner at Abuelos where we went after our wedding but the wait was well over an hour as everywhere else we settled for so Zack took me to a movie, we filled up on popcorn and then walked around through the Christmas lights while listening to live music. We stopped for some spaghetti at Spaghetti Warehouse and then did some window shopping.
It was a wonderful weekend with my sweet hubby and so nice to get away and have just each others company but I did miss Paisley like crazy. That was my first night I’d ever spent away from her but I know she had fun getting extra spoiled by Moe Moe and Pops. Tonight we all three went out for some Chili’s and my aunt had been thawing out the top layer of our wedding cake, so I had a slice when we got home for dessert. I have to say it wasn’t that bad. I didn’t even have a piece at our wedding besides the one Zack gave me so if it was this good now than it must have been pretty darn awesome a year ago. :)
We would like to thank everyone for the anniversary wishes today! We are so blessed with sweet friends and family. I’ve had the most amazing year of my life and am far more blessed than I deserve. Good night, everyone and on to another year as Mrs. Ashcraft. :)
