I’m sure you know the quote “Anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a daddy.” I’ve more than likely bought this card for my Dad ten times or more but oh, it is so true.

God knew the desires of my heart when he chose Zack for me. One, he’s an incredible husband, but the other most important, being a daddy to our kids. I couldn’t have hand picked a better man to team up with in raising our girls.

I joke around saying that I need a boy so I can have one kid that loves their mama a little more than Zack. But, I know how strong a daddy/daughter bond is because I have the same with mine. And it is so special to watch it unfold in your own children. They absolutely adore him. He’s their boo boo kisser, protector, best friend, dance partner, fix it all, tear wiper, and more.He’s the sweetest man with our girls. He helps me with the hard stuff, he apologizes when we are wrong (gasp! we are human!), leads our family, and is absolutely precious. I love watching him “dad” and it’s the best. Our girls couldn’t be more blessed.
I’m so proud of how he chooses to parent. How he chooses to love. How he chooses to give grace. And how he chooses them every time. I love hearing about their dates they go on, dance parties, hearing about all the fun they’ve had outside and seeing the messes made when I come home. I know without a doubt they will never have to question his love for them. And that is being a real dad.

It makes my heart swell knowing that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us the same and so much more. Can you even fathom how God loves us more than we love our own kids? I can’t. And I am so thankful for that unending love. We love you so, Zack. I am so thankful to have you as a team mate in these parenting years. It’s crazy, chaotic, hilarious, stressful, and absolutely breath taking. We hope you know that you are cherished and love each and every day. Happy Father’s Day.
