I love to reflect on our year before a new one begins. We went through so many big changes in 2014 and I am so excited about what 2015 will bring.
In January, we started the beginning of the year off with one of our main goals-to find a church family. We were invited by some special friends of ours to try H2O and instantly fell in love. We have been there almost a year now and couldn’t imagine having another church family. We have grown so much in our marriage, as parents, and as sons and daughters in Christ and I am so thankful to have been led there.
We also began the very long season of potty training. And by long season I mean we are still working on it. I have come to the conclusion that strong willed children will train on their own but it would be appreciated if we are paying for diapers and pull ups at the same time. 🙂
Zack and I used our Christmas gift and went to the Cotton Bowl to watch our OSUCowboys play. We didn’t get the win we wanted but had a blast going out together.
February was such a fun month for us. We celebrated birthdays, had great times with friends, and I was counting down the four months left I had of nursing school. Our baby turned two and I planned the cutest little Olivia party for Paisley. It was such a hit!
Zack surprised me for my birthday and gathered my friends up for a fun weekend to celebrate. We went to the city to have a nice dinner and movie.
I also had the cutest little Valentine this month.
In March we took Paisley on her first trip to the zoo. This month we spent lots of time around the house (me doing homework of course) and enjoying the spring together.
Easter came in April and this was by far the best yet. Paisley hunted eggs like a champ and we enjoyed a full day of family and fellowship.
And of course we had to have tractor pictures. I also shared her Easter pictures, Easter basket, and our outdoor projects-getting our place Spring ready.
May was finally here and we celebrated a lot this month! Paisley moved up to the “big girl” 2 & 3 yr old class, she had her first pedicure, my best friend graduated from college, I had the best mother’s day with dedicating our baby to our new church, Zack’s sister graduated from High School, and we spent time picking fresh tomatoes from the garden.
June was finally here and I had 30 days until graduation. My dad and Zack both celebrated birthdays, we spent some time at the pool and new splash pad, and had a fun weekend at the air expo with friends.
We also celebrated Father’s Day and me graduating from Nursing school!
July was filled with so much fun. Tons of pool time, hay season and lots of tractor rides, 4th of July, Bear loves, deep thoughts, lots of giggles, and a big career change in the works.
In August I decided to take a leap of faith and start up Farm Girl Boutique. We spent many hours remodeling the store and fixing it up. Zack and I went on a date night to Michael Buble’ and my little girl started to look more like a big girl.

September was absolutely full. I shared what the store looked like before the remodel. Football season started for us and we couldn’t wait to cheer on our Cowboys. I had Paisley and one of my family friend’s daughters (who actually helps me at the store) do a Farm Girl Photo Shoot. I handed down my old doll house set to Paisley and she LOVED it. We had our GRAND OPENING for Farm Girl on the 18th and I also shared the finished product of the store.
In October, the store was in full swing and we appreciate all of the support from our customers! I took Paisley and Laraby to the pumpkin patch and we spent Halloween trick-or-treating as Bat Girl! My mom and mom-in-love had birthdays. We celebrated my friend’s wedding and Paisley had the honor to be one of her sweet flower girls. 🙂

In November we finally got to announce that we were pregnant with our second baby at Thanksgiving! It was such a fun way to surprise our family and we can’t wait for June! We also had our annual family photos that I am in LOVE with!
December was a blur and went by way too fast. We spent lots of time with family for Christmas festivities, went on a vacation to Vegas for the NFR, celebrated 3 years of marriage and loved the winter season at Farm Girl. Zack got a new job working for the city and Paisley was looking forward to seeing Santa.
This year was so full of excitement, tears, hard times, happiness, and lots of love. We grew so much and I am so thankful for God’s blessings and lessons for our family. I can’t believe that next year we will be adding another member to our bunch. We are so thankful for this year together and I can’t wait to make more memories in 2015.
