Motherhood is beautiful, scary, fun, hard at times, and rewarding. It changes you. Changes the way you think about life, the way you view things, and it’s given me a different perspective on how I see my Savior. I never knew I could love someone the way I do and the fact that the Lord loves us so much more than we can fathom blows me away.
I became a mom at 20. I was young, still a newlywed, and knew nothing about babies. I was nervous and scared but the minute the doctor told Zack and I we were going to be parents, love flooded my heart in ways I didn’t know possible. I wouldn’t change a thing about this journey and am thankful for the opportunity and blessing he’s given me in our children.
I love the unique relationships I have with each of my girls. Their little personalities shine so differently. They have a light that radiates through them and it’s breathtaking.
Paisley is my adventurer. She has an interest and curiosity in everything. She loves to build and make things. She has a creative side to her that inspires me and makes me think in a different way. Her child like faith and love for God is incredible. She loves big. She has a heart for others and is an absolute joy. She’s so smart and quick witted and has made me a better person.
Miss Sawyer Scout is our little firecracker. Barely two years old, she has such a bold personality. She’s constantly finding ways to make us belly laugh ourself to tears. She loves watching and doing what her big sister does. She has such a loving and onrey way about her. She loves makeup, and getting fixed up-Mama’s little girlie girl. Those baby blues melt me. I love her bear hugs and “sugars” when I come home and how much she loves to dance when we turn the music on. She’s absolutely special and I can’t wait to see her bloom this year.
Being their mama has changed me for the better. I don’t want to know what life would be like without them. I’m so thankful for these daughters of mine. And for the husband God gave me as a partner in raising them. I’m a blessed woman.
I’m thankful to me your mama, Paisley and Scout. Thank you for loving me so much.
I hope this Mother’s Day is a special one for you. Counting my blessings daily.
