I finally have a minute to sit down and share our mini staycation in Fayetteville we took earlier this month. This was actually my birthday present that we were supposed to have back in February but since we had the historic winter storm, we rescheduled.
However, this couldn’t have been scheduled for a better time. After months and months of getting Farm Girl moved and ready to re-open, we needed a little time away before our Grand Opening. Fayetteville is such a neat little college town and not too far from us.
I booked The Freckled Hen Cottage and it was a dream! The cutest little two bedroom rock cottage with a beautiful sunroom and claw foot tub.
We had a charcuterie platter waiting on us when we got there and it was so good! I love that they had add on features for guests.
And again…..this sunroom. Now I want one!
Our first night we did a little shopping, ate grilled cheeses at Hammontrees, and had a movie night outside which was so much fun. We are thinking of adding a screen or white wall to the girls tree house we plan to build this spring so we can do this with them.
Our last full day we shopped at Freckled Hen Home, City Supply, I found some gold at the coolest Record Shop ( I grew up on Bob Wills ) and finally got to visit Euna Mae’s kitchen store. So neat!
Zack and I also had the best barbecue of our lives at the neatest little spot-Wright’s Barbecue. So GOOD!
It was a fun little trip and I’m so glad we got to go! I highly recommend booking the cottage if you plan to make a trip there. It was so cute, clean, and had everything we needed. They were super accommodating and checking in and out was super easy.
Until next time!
