It’s A…..{Gender Reveal Party}

February 5, 2015

Gender CakeWe are so excited to announce that we are gaining another beautiful daughter! We had our gender reveal party last night and had so much fun! My ultrasound was Tuesday afternoon and Zack and I both decided that we wanted to be surprised with our friends and family. I had the ultrasound tech write the gender and seal it in an envelope so we couldn’t peek. As soon as my appointment was over I took it took it straight to the bakery so they could have our cake ready for the next day. I spent most of yesterday getting ready for our party. Let’s just say that it was the longest 8 hours ever.

Farm-Girl-Sawyer-1 Farm-Girl-Sawyer-2We had the party at my store since it was right after work and in a central location. I wanted to keep on with our “Farm Girl/Farm Boy” theme too. :)

Farm-Girl-Sawyer-3We made chalk boards for voting and Old Wives Tales.

Farm-Girl-Sawyer-4 Farm-Girl-Sawyer-5Paisley said that it was a girl before we cut the cake. She was right! :)

Farm-Girl-Sawyer-9 Farm-Girl-Sawyer-10 Farm-Girl-Sawyer-11My face is a little ridiculous but we were so excited!!!

Farm-Girl-Sawyer-12 Farm-Girl-Sawyer-14I can’t believe we are getting another girl!

Farm-Girl-Sawyer-18We already had our names picked out and wanted to reveal those too last night.

Farm-Girl-Sawyer-19 Farm-Girl-Sawyer-20We loved the gender neutral name, Sawyer, and Scout is from my favorite book, ‘To Kill A Mockingbird.’ We wanted something different and that no one would have. :) She will mainly go by Scout.Farm-Girl-Sawyer-21 Farm-Girl-Sawyer-22I am blown away that we are going to be a family of four! Girl parents for life! :) Farm-Girl-Sawyer-23We want to thank everyone for coming and for all of the well wishes! Paisley is elated to have a little sister. We couldn’t be more excited and cannot wait to see her sweet face. God is so good!

    Congrats on another baby girl! I loved all of the pictures because one of my girlfriends and I are planning a day trip soon and your store is on it, so it was fun to see it. Hope the cake was yummy as it looked!

    Congrats! Love her name! To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite, too. Did you know that Harper Lee actually wrote that second & that there was another book that she wrote first? She will now be releasing that one, since Scout is older in the first book She wrote. :)

      Thank you so much! I have wanted to use that name for years! I did see that-I’ve had the name picked out and thought it was very timely that that hit the news a couple of days ago. :)

    I love your gender reveal party idea! It is so exciting to find out. did you have both gender names picked out? It is so funny to know that kids are normally right on their gender guess.

      Yes we had a boy name picked out because I was certain that we were going to have a little man. :)
