Finally got around to sharing all about @farmgirlada 7th birthday on the blog today! 🐮

Paisley had a day with Dad yesterday and Scout wanted to come with me to work.

I haven’t posted much of a homeschool update but we are 100% loving it with zero regrets. Everyday I’m grateful for slowing down and making these choices. I’m grateful for the doors the Lord opened for me to get to do this. I’m grateful for more intentional time, more conversations, more hugs, more laughs, and everything in between.

I’m thankful to look beyond a system and to have my chicks in my nest. I’m thankful for flexibility and not being rushed all day, running here to there only to spend two hours together before we do it all over.

I’ve realize how much time I did miss out on during the day and that grieves me but I’m thankful for where we are now. I love getting to pack up their education and take it wherever we go. To the store, a pasture, our dinner table, the barn, etc.

Last week they went to a sewing class with both of my grandmothers and learned all about different fabrics, quilting, and made a few items all on their own. All of the elderly ladies there were so thrilled to have them and that kids so young were interested.

On Tuesday afternoons they’ve been doing “cooking lessons” with my Nana and soon Paisley will start basketball. Both girls will start rodeo practice when our arena is finished and they are involved in 4-h.

The one thing I’ve heard most from those who don’t understand our choice is the hindrance of social interaction. I don’t think they’ve ever been more social or around more people of all ages they way they are now.

If you’re on the fence, take the leap. You’ll never regret the extra time. 🤍
