Scout Goes to Daycare

March 24, 2016

942535_10153359646045685_7627647498668173733_nToday my baby girl started her first day at daycare. It’s the same academy Paisley started at when she was 6 months. Lately, it’s been such a struggle at the store to get anything done. The last two months have been emotional and I felt like it was time. My plan was to keep her until May and then take Paisley out and put Scout in. But, they had an opening this week and today was the day to start a new journey with her. I have been so blessed to be able to keep her the last 9 months with me at Farm Girl. If I didn’t have my own business I am not sure what we would have done. I am so thankful to have had such a special bonding time with her every day at my store and will cherish those little milestones forever. It was getting to the point that she was just unhappy here and it wasn’t a place for a baby (almost toddler — ah that makes me sad) and she needed a better area to roam and play.

It feels like we were just enrolling Paisley in daycare and now we are about to enroll her in an elementary pre-k. Time flies. Paisley’s last day is next Friday and we will be doing a little tot school program that a friend put together all summer so she is ready to go to “big school.” I have been getting my back room at Farm Girl all “school ready” and am excited to teach her. I’ve been missing my Sawyer girl all morning but know that she is in good hands and will have so much fun playing with the other babies.

Spring Break + Life Lately

March 21, 2016

12472535_10153253355560916_2509202951994189564_nCatching up a bit on posting some photos. Life has been so chaotic that I haven’t been able to blog much but that is about to change soon with a new design and a lot of draft posts that are in the works.

The weekend before Spring break, my friend Jess and her little girl/Paisley’s friend came up for a visit. One minute the girls were terrorizing each other, the next besties. Check out their wedges. 😉 Jess brought us a new load of accessories to stock up the store and we love them. Scout is modeling one above.12801091_10153253355360916_1419522282678085320_n 12801317_10153253355505916_6749952822417672230_n 12804673_10153301478135685_5294893486463981454_n (1)Scout discovered mashed potatoes were her favorite food over the break and meant business when it came time to eat. That little face just melts me. Mashed taters and all.IMG_4104 IMG_4268We had a movie date to see Zootopia, Paisley had a girl’s day with Momoe and her cousins at Nanas, and I got a wild hair over the break to paint my entire kitchen and living room…..and hall. :)1915365_10153354124010685_698642626493999695_nPaisley had her first trip to the library over the break.12832489_10153341485090685_5372156857881679129_nAnd we had did a lot of front porch sittin’ with this baby love. Hope you had a wonderful week. I sure have loved this time with my little family.

Snippets from Our Weekend

February 29, 2016

12806101_10153299779855685_4965239248298696961_nDress: Matilda Jane / Boots: Corral

We had an amazing weekend-one of the first ones that we actually got to be at home in a long time. Had a date night, cooked some new things, and set up our bed that we have had since Christmas!12803055_10153296923450685_2987424547460497976_nWe’ve been in a queen and finally upgraded to a queen- #praisehands. I will do a full post of it all soon but I am in love with the new headboard. I pretty much have to get a running start to get in it but I’m not complaining. :)12096129_10153298780270685_5515056558060121020_nI made these Pioneer Woman cinnamon rolls and they were absolutely amazing! I also made her chicken fried steak and Scout’s favorite, creamy mashed potatoes. 😉12804673_10153301478135685_5294893486463981454_nIt was nice to be at home for once and we’ve been working on updating our bedroom! More to come on that. We spent our Sunday night at a new War Room prayer study with our life group and I am really excited to see where that takes us. It’s been a busy season and I am excited for Spring. We are going to start on our garden this upcoming weekend and I am so excited for fresh fruit and veggies!
