This recipe is such a comfort to me because it reminds me of my childhood and the many girls trips I’d go on with my mom, nana, and aunts. We would stop at a place in OKC called Applewoods that made the best fritters.
If you are from Oklahoma, you might remember this place. It was one of my top favorites, along with Steak & Ale. (that bread and french onion soup I still dream about)
I recommend not cooking these in too hot of oil because the insides won’t be done enough.
