Fire Academy Graduation

January 15, 2016

After months of hard work, determination, home work, tests, physical trials, stress, and much more, my sweet husband has graduated from the Fire Academy! IMG_2853 IMG_2840He put in so much hard work and I am so proud of him. Last night we got to witness him accept his diploma and it was such a rewarding experience. We love you so much, Zack! Thank you for all you do for our family. We are so excited to start this new journey with you. And, I’m pretty excited to be a firefighter wife. 😉

Sink Baths

January 14, 2016

12540722_10153219218475685_4333569744927008758_nHer favorite way to get squeaky clean is in our sink and I love it. We have water everywhere and I get more wet than she does. I add too many bubbles and she splashes until giggles fill the air. I love these sweet times. I remember when we had Paisley in the sink and it made me realize how fast time flies. How small of a window we have that they fit in our sink. It doesn’t take much for me to make a life lesson out of something these days. (like a kitchen sink)Last night we filled it up with warm soapy suds, turned on some good tunes, danced, and splashed for a good twenty minutes. Time has flown and this little wildflower turns seven months old next week. S E V E N. #somebodyholdme

It’s funny how much my focus on being intentional this year has changed me in such a short amount of time. I’ve gradually paced myself to slow down and smell the roses, rid of being glued to my phone to work on my business during family hours, and looked at life in such a different perspective as a mom.

One day I hope my daughters can look back on this blog, my life lessons, and learn from them. To know not to rush life. That work and its demands will all be there tomorrow but your family may not. The little roly poly six month old will soon grow and next year her legs will be too long to scrunch up in the sink. I hope they know that I tried to spend my moments and time wisely and intentionally with them.

Its one of the best gifts I can give.

Love the messy, love the soapy water, and savor the time.

Sentimental + Inexpensive Gift Idea

January 6, 2016

IMG_2673For Christmas I told my Nana the only thing I wanted were my favorite recipes of hers hand written on cards. My cousin Kolbie and I are constantly calling her for ingredients and instructions. She decided to do this for all of the girls in our family and it’s been one of my favorite gifts from her.IMG_2677 IMG_2679Cooking with Nana has always been something special we have done together and I love that I will always have these from her. There is just something so special about things handwritten.

The boxes and cards are sold in my store and make the perfect birthday, wedding, or just because gift. I am offering a little discount just for my readers! For today only you can get 10% off of your entire purchase by using code: NANA. 🙂 Just click the shop tab above.

I hope you have a blessed Wednesday!
