As 2015 comes to a close I am in awe of how good God is. We were so blessed this year and made so many amazing memories.
A little reflection of what we did this year:
January
We were busy little bees in January. Market for the new year came and mom and I spent a few days in Dallas picking out new items for Farm Girl. Paisley had fun helping Papaw feed the cows and horses in the winter and got her first goose egg.
Some favorite quotes from her:
- “Good morning mommy! I like your hair-it’s kind of messy.”
- Paisley: “We don’t kiss our friends, Mom.” Me: “You don’t? Has this happened before?” Paisley: {giggles} Oh goodness.
I hit the halfway mark in pregnancy this month and loved finally getting over the nausea.
February
February was such a blessed month. So many fun things happened from birthdays to parties, snow, and finding out we were having another baby girl!
You can check out our gender reveal party here.
Paisley turned three this year and we celebrated with a beautiful Cinderella Party.
I turned another year older and spent my night eating birthday cake after dinner with my family. In yoga pants. Watching my favorite chick flick. I’d chalk that up as a wonderful day. We also found out my sister-in-law was having a boy! We had the same due date.
The snow came and we had a ball sledding.
Other things in February included our first Pursuit gathering, daddy/daughter dates to the movies, buying all things girl for the new nursery, and losing Zack’s grandpa. One of the sweetest celebrations of life I have ever been to and so thankful for our time with Papa Tom.
March
My parents celebrated their 25th anniversary this month. I had an entire surprise party planned but the weather ruined it. So proud and thankful they are mine. After a lot of hard work, we opened our Farm Girl online store. We became completely potty trained this month and Paisley memorized her first Bible Verse. Joshua 1:9 will forever be one our favorite verses in our home.
We loved that the weather was warming up and enjoyed riding the golf cart at MoeMoe and Papaws.
We had a wonderful weekend getaway together.
We had our second Pursuit meeting at Southwind Hills.
Paisley and Zack went to their first Daddy/Daughter dance at church. One of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen.
April
This month was a crazy one. We finally got Paisley fully off of her paci. She also drew with permanent marker all over her brand new {white} furniture. #thankGodformagicerasers We put her big girl bed together and moved everything out of our spare bedroom to start on the nursery. Spent lots of time playing outside and learning new things.
We celebrated Easter and Paisley had a fun Easter party at school.
Worked cattle with my dad.
And Paisley started sleeping in her big bed! We also had our April Pursuit meeting and had a blast shopping after.
My friends threw me the sweetest little baby shower ever.
May
May was a busy one. Zack and I went on a date to see The Longest Ride. LOVED IT. Paisley gave “Gym-ta-nastics” a shot.
My best friend graduated from Nursing School and two of my cousins graduated from high school.
We celebrated Mother’s Day. So thankful for my girl.
My friend Aubrey and I took our kids on a play date to the Children’s Museum.
And we celebrated my mom’s 25 year work anniversary. <3
And then celebrated Paisley’s little friend, Sadie, and her third birthday.
I finished one of my 101 in 1001 to-dos and that was read Seven by Jen Hatmaker. LOVE this book.
We finished Scout’s nursery and Paisley watched To Kill a Mockingbird for the first time. She was amazed that her sister’s name was in a movie.
And laughed at all of the funny little things Paisley said:
Paisley: Hey! Don’t Shooosh mommy!
Zack: Well I’m the boss.
Paisley: No daddy, mommy is the boss. She lays the hammer down.
I don’t have a hammer
I have pink scissors. ?
I was at my about to pop point. We celebrated my Dad and Zack’s birthday, spent most of our days outside, welcomed Sawyer Scout into the world {birth story}, hay season was in full force for my dad and Zack, celebrated Father’s Day, had our Pursuit June Gathering at Holli’s farmhouse, and Zack was accepted into the Fire Academy.

June will be one I never forget. A lot of great times but also a lot of heartache this month as we took a devastating blow that rocked our church and our family hard. We dealt with tough things that, although were not fun, brought us closer in marriage. I learned there is always beauty from ashes. In two weeks, we had that issue, a new baby, I locked our 3 day old child in the car on accident, Zack came down with a bad case of shingles, I backed into someone leaving the church right after the bad news-in our new car, and a few other things I tried to purge from memory. June, you were one for the books.
July
We went on a movie date with Aunt Lindsay, celebrated fourth of July, had pictures at our house, Go Set a Watchman came out, Paisley went to Bible School with her cousins and had her first hair cut.

August
Zack started the fire academy this month and fall season began at Farm Girl. Scout turned two months old. We went to see War Room with our lifegroup and was the best movie we saw all year.

September
Paisley showed her first goat at the County Fair. Zack’s best friend got married. Farm Girl turned one and we celebrated with a birthday party. Football season started back up and we enjoyed many weekends cheering on the Cowboys!

October
This month we celebrated my mom’s birthday by going to dinner and an O-State game. My friend Jess and I went to Rome, Georgia for the Pursuit Community Conference. A life changing trip. I had a blast and it was much needed for me.

My bestie and I painted her front door purple and she got all moved into her new home. We spent fall break by taking the girls to get pumpkins, watching Pan at the Warren, and putting up Paisley’s fort.
Paisley got a new horse named Bullseye and the girls were Pocohontas and Tiger Lily for Halloween. We celebrated 6 years of when our little love story began.
November
We kicked off November with our church at Fallapalooza, our annual fall festival. We took our family pictures for the year and went to a Murder Mystery Dinner Party with our lifegroup. We had so much fun with everyone. Thanksgiving was spent on the couch as Paisley and I had strep. We made the store into a winter wonderland as we prepared for Christmas and Farm Girl had an awesome Black Friday.

December
Archie the Elf came back from the North Pole. We had the Christmas Parade on Main Street and Paisley and her best friend Crosby opened a little hot chocolate stand.

Scout learned to sit up this month and her personality really began to show.
We went to Grapevine with our friends Aubrey, Cody, Jess, and Jason with all of our kids to ride the Polar Express and see the ICE exhibit. The kids had a ball and we had a great time getting our families together.
Pursuit Community Christmas Dinner. I am so thankful for all of these women I get to call friends. So thankful for all of the friendships made in 2015.
We decorated our home for Christmas and sent our cards and letter.

Zack and I celebrated 4 years of marriage and went on a little anniversary getaway. So blessed to have this man as my husband.

We closed up December with a very blessed Christmas with family and friends. Paisley’s wishes came true when Santa brought the Toy Story toys she asked for and Scout enjoyed the paper and boxes more than what was inside.
As I look back at 2015, I am so thankful for the blessings, the hard times, the good times, laughs, late nights, love, hard work and memories made. We welcomed a precious daughter to our family and watched our oldest bloom into the sweetest big sister. Being a mom and wife is the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced and I count my blessings daily. My husband quit his job to pursue his dream of being a firefighter. His hard work pays off in two weeks at I get to watch him graduate January 14th. We celebrated Farm Girl being in business one year. I still cannot believe I get to do my dream job every day. I am so thankful for God’s blessings in my business. I’ve met the most amazing people and have made such precious friendships through FG. The hard work, tears, stress, make it all worth it.
I went through a hard time spiritually dealing with fear this summer but looking back now, I have never been closer to God. At that time I couldn’t feel further away but he was right there with me through it all. I am so thankful for a loving Savior and his pursuit of me daily. For the people he’s placed in my life to help shine light on things I need to see, to pray over me when I was at a loss for words, and for a husband who loves Jesus and is a wonderful leader in our home. We are also incredibly thankful for a church and life group that we absolutely love.
We have been given so much and I never want to take any of it for granted. 2015 was such a ride and I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings. I pray you all have a happy, healthy New Year.
Blessings.

I drove down the night before our flight and stayed with Jess. Her hubby drove us to the airport earlier than anyone should have to get up so we could get checked in and have breakfast before we flew out. We arrived in ATL and drove to Rome to meet
The campus is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been too. We drove for miles it seemed to get to the retreat and the view was incredible. Deer everywhere. Pursuit staff greeted us by taking our luggage and handing out our welcome bags and room keys. I know without a doubt that God knew I needed this this trip. That I was at my breaking point and needed inspiration in my business and grace in my family. That I was being overcome with fear and needed set free. My heart swelled when I was handed that little tote bag with this year’s theme on it. I knew it was a hug from the Lord.

After we checked in we were given a sticker to put on the map. Look at those Okie girls representing.

After our welcome, we had dinner in the dining hall. Fun fact: this was originally a milking barn! The food was incredible and we may or may not have been spoiled to ice cream, pie, and other deserts after every meal.

Worship during the conference was led by Mark Stinton from Bethel Music. After the evening, Jess and I checked out the vendors booths. Such talent in that room. I ended up buying a chalkboard from
At the end of the night, we were overwhelmed. Exhaustion had set in from traveling. Processing those words I needed to hear and the presence of the Lord I needed to feel was something that had felt so distant but came like a flood. I hadn’t felt wrapped in His arms like that in so long. That night he held me and rocked my heart to sleep.
A few bullet points from her talk:

After lunch we broke into our small groups and listened to our next set of speakers,

And post dinner smores bar because, yum.

After Carlos, we had our breakout classes. I love those moments when you know without a doubt that God had prepared something specifically for you before you knew you needed it. That he was setting the stage for me, knowing that this moment would have me on my knees in Thanksgiving. A sign that only I would know, a confirmation directed towards me that He was listening. And he used someone elses gift, someone elses puzzle piece to give me that. Isn’t He good? All the while I was feeling lonely, he painted a bigger picture for me to look at. Meet

I can get pretty emotional during worship. Often it’s when I feel closer to the Lord and I was floored at how much he revealed and loved on me this week. Tears flowed our last night. Tears of refreshment, thanksgiving, love, happiness. He is so good to me and I love that I had the opportunity to have this experience.

Nothing could have prepared me for what I experienced that week. I left feeling refreshed and eager for change. Thank you, Lord, and thank you Pursuit! This years video by the lovely
