It’s the Little Things//Farmer Paisley

After begging her Papaw for days to ride the tractor, Paisley got to rake and bale hay for a little while on Sunday. She was on cloud nine! I don’t really like her to ride Dad’s tractor that we use to till the roping arena unless it is just to cruise because it doesn’t have an enclosed cab. She thought it was the neatest thing that she had her own seat and everything.
“Cheese! Mama look! I riding tractor with Papaw!!!”
Giving me a thumbs up.
Every time she would make a round, she would wave really big. I love watching her do what I used to do all growing up with my Dad. She is our little farm girl for sure.

Summer Weekends Are the Best

There is nothing more precious than spending time with your little family, soaking in every moment, every giggle, and every cheeto stained grin. Saturday we had a family reunion with my mom’s side, some of which I haven’t seen in about 10 years! It was so nice to catch up. I’ve missed them so much.
There was lots of pool time and this little diva is fearless! We barely got her floatie put on before she wanted to jump ship. Swimming lessons must get here soon!
Bear finally got a bath which isn’t really monumental but certainly post worthy. He wasn’t too happy with us but I think he will reconsider now that he can live inside again. Also? A girl and her dog. Need I say more?
Yesterday Paisley went to help her Pops rake and bale hay which I will post more pictures of on Wednesday for the little things link-up. It was a great weekend and some big news will be on the blog Friday. I have prayed, cried, and dreamed of this, and I cannot wait to share!

It’s the Little Things//Pop’s Girl

Our Lion’s Club members open up the carousel, train and put-put during the summer evenings at our local park. I remember going with my parents when I was a little girl. Its funny the memories that resurface when you revisit a familiar place from the past. You blink and then you’re back with your own child.
My parents went with us and if you know Paisley well enough, you know her Pop’s is her best friend. And, he’s a pretty cool one in my eyes. I mean, not many papaw’s will get on the jungle gym with their adventurous two year old grandchild.
But, that’s why I love my Dad. He’s always been my best friend and now he’s Paisley’s too. I remember growing up, we did everything together whether it was something I wanted to do or something he wanted to do. I am thankful for these memories. Those are the ones that I love the most.
I am thankful for the little things like summer nights with Pop’s and his girl. I love you, Dad. Thank you for being an awesome grandparent to our Paisley. Memories like these are the ones she won’t forget.
