May Beauty Favorites

May 31, 2014

I wanted to share some of my favorite products for the month of May. All products will have clickable links for those who want to order and try.
1. Mary Kay TimeWise Miracle Set- I am in love with these products. A lot of you know that I am a Mary Kay consultant and LOVE helping people with their beauty. This miracle set consists of a cleanser, moisturizer, and their night and day solution that helps soothe, moisturize, firm, and fight fine lines and wrinkles. These products have transformed my skin in the past two months and I don’t think I will ever go back to any other product.
2. Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara-I have gotten a lot of comments about my lashes on Instagram and wanted to share my secret. It’s this mascara. 🙂 I am in love with how much volume it gives my lashes without the clumpiness. My favorite mascara with this company and of all time.
3. Chi Miss Universe Blow Dryer- I bought this dryer when Ulta was having a sale which was awesome because mine quit on me. I love this dryer and it is so light weight. It provides enough force and a lot of heat for my thick hair and I am very pleased with it so far.
4. C. Booth 4-1 Multi-Action Body Lotion in Lemon Sugar- I really enjoy C. Booth Products and this lotion smells amazing! You get a lot for a great price and it really gives me the hydration I need.
I encourage you to give some of these products a try! Let me know if you are interested in giving Mary Kay a try too. You will love it!. 🙂
What are some of your favorite products from this month?

Last Class Day!

May 30, 2014

I can’t believe that today was my last class day of nursing school. Although it seems like this journey has taken forever, it is finally here. I start my 15 days of preceptorship on Monday and I couldn’t be more excited! I am placed in the Women’s Clinic at a local hospital which I am so excited about. I will be shadowing a nurse, doctor, and midwife during those days and I can’t wait to learn and get some more experience with Obstetrics.
And?
32 MORE DAYS UNTIL GRADUATION!
It is getting real, y’all.
I signed up for a NCLEX prep class the day after graduation to help me become more prepared for boards. I am already a nervous wreck about that test but maybe this course will give me some reassurance and peach about it. I could use some huge prayer warriors in July.
With that said, I hope to get to blog a little bit more in June. May was absolutely crazy trying to tie up loose ends, finish courses, final tests, sending in board applications, and more. I am so glad I am finished with that crazy month.
I love this verse and it speaks volumes for me lately. I am so excited about the future.
I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy what we have left of May! 🙂

It’s The Little Things // Paisley’s First “Pedicure”

May 28, 2014

Happy Wednesday! I am so excited to participate in this link-up again with my friend Jess. Each Wednesday, we highlight a little moment from the week that we want to remember.
Last Tuesday my mom took me to get a pedicure after school and it was so needed. I was a little reluctant to take Paisley because the last time we brought her wasn’t such a pleasant experience. When they put on the rubber gloves she thought she was getting a shot at the doctor’s office and she was out of there. However, that was months ago and this time she sat in our lap and did wonderful! I was so proud of her. I asked if she wanted her toes painted like Mommy and Moe Moe’s and she yes! I didn’t think she would sit still or even go through with it but she patiently let the lady paint them AND sat still enough to let them dry. 🙂
I was so impressed with her patience and manners. For a two year old she was completely tuned in and loved being “pampered” with us. Pedicures are something my mom and I do together frequently and I love the girl time. It was so much fun to have Paisley with us and I am excited that she loved having them done. Painted piggies on a toddler is one of the cutest things ever.
For a week she’s been showing all of our family and friends her toes and only wants to wear “shandals.” 🙂
It was a fun experience and the time was precious.
It’s the little things.
