It happened. This morning I woke up to a precious little school girl. We curled hair, put on our pretty new dress and out the door with her backpack and lunchbox in tow, went to the first day of school. I can’t believe this day is here. It was so weird packing my first lunch last night. She was thrilled for her new adventure and I am secretly counting down the hours until we can pick her up and find out how her day was.

Since daddy was on shift last night, we stayed at Moemoe and Papaw’s house and met him at school. She couldn’t wait to give him a hug.
We were greeted by her teacher, Mrs. Foran, put her back pack and lunch box in the cubby and she went right inside. Without giving her mom and dad any love! LOL Yes, I made her come back for a hug and a kiss.
I was fine until I pulled out of the school drive but I know that this too shall pass and its a new season of life that we are entering. I am extremely thankful that she was eager to go and didn’t have any trouble. I know she will have a blast and is going to learn so much this year. I’m blessed to be this little girl’s mama and pray that the Lord will continually surround everyone at her Elementary. Time, please slow down.
