I can never wait until the exact date to give Zack his gifts. This one is especially sweet and timely. The girls gave his Father’s Day gift early tonight. He’s been in need of an upgrade from his pocket Bible and what better gift for them to give their Daddy than one of the best gifts our Heavenly Father gave us? His truth and word. While picking out the perfect one last week, I had two narrowed down and couldn’t decide which one to choose-I began to look at the inside cover of this one and before my eyes Joshua 1:9 was written on it. For those who know us well, this was the first verse Paisley memorized from church, it got us through a rough time last week as well as being repeated all during my labor with Sawyer. I knew this was the one.
Both of our girls have their own special verses we picked out for them. Scout’s is Psalm 139:14 and Paisley’s is Psalm 46:5.
When we were admitted to Labor & Delivery Wednesday, I snuck it in to have the nurses put Scout’s footprint over her verse and Paisley’s handprint over hers. I think he was pretty surprised and loved it! Zack, we love you so much and couldn’t pick a better Father, Husband, and leader for our home. I love you with all of my heart. Thank you for making me a mommy to now two beautiful girls. Happy Father’s Day!
