We had our second annual Pursuit Christmas party last night at Shannon’s beautiful home and as always, it was such a special night. Everything was gorgeous and thought of, the conversations were such a treat, and I love getting to know these women more each month.
Holli said it best in her post here. I’m so thankful to have been apart of this group for two years now. It’s been a blessing in my life and business and I love and adore these ladies.

I am so excited to post about our April Pursuit gathering. If you are new to this blog, pursuit is a group of creatives (a lot of photographers) who are small business owners and have a heart for the Lord. We meet once a month and it’s really refreshing for me to get away and have some girl time. We talk a lot about business, family, kids, Jesus, and enjoy a lot of laughs and good conversation. 
This year, our monthly gatherings are decided and planned by different people in our group and I was able to be the one to plan April. I found The Plant Shoppe some time ago and have been dying to attend a workshop. It is a sweet little creative space for those who love to #dirtythemhands and de-stress. Honestly, I’m not sure what’s more therapeutic. Digging in the dirt or going to the spa? #dirtprobablywins
We made DIY terrariums and learned a lot about succulents which, along with cacti, are my absolute favorite.
Jen is the owner and was incredibly sweet as well as great to work with. I love how much heart she has for this place. It’s such a unique business. I was telling her that I would be over the moon to have something like this where we live.
It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to go back. She had some plants for sale and does a lot of pop up markets/special occasion deliveries. If you are ever in the OKC area, stop in!

If you have followed along on the blog for a bit, you’d know that I am involved in a creatives group called Pursuit Community. You can view all of my Pursuit posts here. We get together each month to fellowship with other small business owners who have such a heart for God and faith based businesses + families. My friends Aubrey and Jess and I all joined in this year and usually go together. It’s a nice little getaway for us and we love the girl time. We had the most gorgeous table setting at Shannon’s home with a catered {and served} meal along with sweet little gifts.
This group has blessed me so much this year. Just getting to be real and transparent with other women who have a heart for small business and Jesus is so refreshing. To know they have the same struggles, hard days, triumphs, and melt downs as you. That balancing a family and business along with friendships is more like juggling a 3 ring circus. I am so very thankful for this blessing and cannot wait to see what Pursuit 2016 has in store.
