We celebrated our oldest girl Saturday with a sweet, small party and a few friends. All she wanted was cake, snacks, and to play so that’s exactly what we did! What better way than using her dogs that is something most precious to her as the theme. I just chose some fun colors and went with that and added her Aussie dog on top.

Other than the stuff for snacks, the only thing I purchased were the cookies and cake that were made locally, balloons, and some candles. Everything else either my mom or I had from our homes. You can do a really fun party using what you have! That’s usually what I do for cakes anymore is add fun items to the tops.

I made a snack board and got everything from Trader Joes. The kids didn’t leave a drop when it was all said and done. The boards are one of my favorite things to make at showers, parties, or even family gatherings.

We can’t forget her guests of honor. HA! I think they were pretty excited for all of the extra attention. They played right along with the girls all day.

We had such a blast and I truly love simple birthdays like this the most. Cake, a few balloons, and snacks. She had so much fun and quality time with friends and that’s what kid parties should be about. I loved getting to sit back and watch her have fun and celebrate.
