A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was create
I took last weekend and organized my Mom’s pantry and spice cabinet for her. It’s amazing what a few jars, baskets, and labels can do! I wanted to share the before and after as well as the links so if you’d like to do the same, you can.
I know I feel so much better when things have their place and a space is functional. It’s so much easier to prep, plan, and cook. Knowing what you have and how much can help you gauge what you need to stock up on.
Here’s the spice cabinet. She already had the stands which made it easy! I used these glass spice jars for most of them. They also come with labels and a funnel. I used these air tight containers for some of her bigger spices she uses like cocoa powder, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
Here’s the before of the pantry. It wasn’t bad but it was hard to know exactly what she had. I also prefer most of my ingredients in glass jars or some type of storage container. I tried to organize similar to a grocery store when it came to canned goods and bulk items.
I used baskets and basket tags for several items, containers for seasonings, gallon jars for ingredients like flour, sugars, noodles, protein powder, etc. and made sure everything had it’s place like her paper goods, crock pots, oils, and plastic ware.
I love organizing projects like this – they just make your home run a little smoother. I have everything linked below where you can find everything we used plus a few extra items that I think would be helpful.
