This weekend was so blissful. I am almost certain that it was the first one that I did not have homework or a test to study for since I started nursing school.
Friday I was able to relax with Zack and Paisley and sleep in the next morning which is also rare around this house.
On Saturday, Paisley and I got ready and went to town to have lunch with Zack while he was at work. Also, Converse on littles is probably the cutest thing ever. She loves her new shoes!
After lunch we went to the movies with my aunts, meme, and cousins to see Captain America for Lily’s birthday. It was also Paisley’s very first movie to watch and she did amazing! She even caught a nap half way through and thought Captain America was her Dad on screen. HA! Nope, not your Dad Pais. :)
After the movies we ventured to Home Depot and picked up some spray paint, soil, and flowers. Paisley picked out the “puhple” ones.
Paisley was my little helper when we got home. We painted my pots on the front porch and planted the petunias. She loved it. Zack was also able to get some yard work done and Paisley drove around in her car for awhile.
Then we picked up takeout for dinner and finished up the night with movies on the couch. This weekend was such a blessing for us. You don’t know how much you miss being “mentally” at home-not strapped to school when you don’t have any work to do.
Sunday was catch up day around the house with more yard work and laundry. My house is finally clean and caught up from being gone all last week.
Zack has started working on our land cutting down cedars and dead trees. We put up our new shed for our lawn mower and garden tools last week and love it. We bought it at Home Depot a few weeks ago if you are looking for something nice for things like that.
I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful week!
Stay tuned for a fun DIY project tomorrow as well as a couple other things I have lined up on the blog. :)
