I recently freshened up the kitchen table with a new centerpiece. I try to change it up seasonally with things we have around the house. I ended up reusing a few items that were already there like the garden tray and beaded garland. Another item I use often instead of runners are calf hides! The give a more rustic feel and are easy to clean.
The “vase” was an old crock I had in the cabinet with a $10 grocery store bouquet. I love having fresh flowers in the house all summer. Most of the time we pick wild flowers but I couldn’t pass up these pretty blooms. I splurged on a new candle the other day and the adorable Brahma shakers are from one of my favorite thrift sites, Single Wide Style. The frame is from my store and the sheds Zack brought home after spraying in the tractor a few weeks ago. I love when we finds me things like that.
It doesn’t take a lot to give a space a fresh new look!
My youngest is our little fashionista. If she has the opportunity to get dudded up, hair fixed, and a touch of makeup-she’s going for it! However as ranch mamas, I know we don’t always want to send them out in their “nice” outfits because we always know there’s the opportunity they will get ruined, especially with livestock around. But if your cowkids are anything like mine, looking cute is essential.
Here’s a go-to outfit that is about as basic as you can get but a few accessories and a curling wand adds a little flair and gives them a feeling of fixed up. I know that’s how I feel when I just do my hair and makeup anymore. Ha!
Jeans and boots are a staple around these parts and I threw on a colorful tee underneath. A graphic tee would be just as adorable and our favorite cowkid tees come from Little Coyotes! You can see when we first started wearing them from this post.
Pop on a jean jacket over it, curl hair, and we added a bandana! (tip-I folded it over in a triangle and cut in half then rolled so it wasn’t so thick on her. Worked perfect!) Don’t forget the cutest spur straps in all the land! These for sure fancy up the outfit. I’ll provide links below! What are your kiddos favorites to wear?
I’m so excited to share one of our favorite places to buy the cutest graphic tees for your little cowboy or cowgal. Talia with Little Coyotes, owner and designer has come up with a line that is such a need in the western industry. Cute, affordable kids tees are hard to come by that fit our lifestyle and her little shop has made it possible.
I bought this adorable “I’ll Love You for Heifer” tee for Valentines but I love that it’s so versatile she’s able to wear it all year. I also love the 3/4 sleeve fit.
This Cowhorse tee was our first purchase with her when she launched and is my favorite tee! Such a cute piece to throw on with jeans and boots.
I love her art style and she can draw a horse like no other. She drew our Cowboy Santa tee for Farm Girl this past Christmas and it was such a hit.
So, if you’re in the market, please support our friend and her beautiful small business. She not only makes toddler tees, but babies and kids sizes as well. Her items are top quality and make wonderful gifts.
