This weekend I was able to make a quick weekend trip with my mom to see my Grand in Texas, the first one since Christmas. With school my “free weekends” are few and far between. It was so needed and time with Grand is always refreshing and fun. :) We laughed, ate, watched the Derby, and chit chatted the whole time we were there-four generations. Such special time.
Grand has a fun front yard full of patio furniture-this chair was Paisley’s favorite. “Swiiinnggg” she says.
We were also able to check off one of my May goals by bringing her old front porch furniture she gave us to put on ours. Now I am looking for some really fun and bright colored pillows to go on them. :)
Mom and I were also able to sneak away and shop in a local boutique, LaRue, in Royse City. LOVE the lines they carry and I was able to get two new tops to wear to church.
The weekend flew by, like all good weekends do but I am so grateful for the sweet time we were able to spend. Paisley and I plan to stay a week in July with her once I graduate. I cannot wait!
Did any of you watch the Derby? We do every year. Rodeo and roping is our thing but we always enjoy watching the horses run and we used to go to the track a lot. It would be a dream to go Churchill someday. I’m not the betting kind but every year I verbally bet on a horse and every year they always win. My luck would run out though if I really put money on it. ;)
I hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful Monday!
