The nursery plans are in full force as we are finishing up cleaning out our spare bedroom. It has been a catchall for the last year and it amazes me how much junk three people can consume. Room designing for the girls is a blast. So many options to choose from. When we had Paisley over three years ago, I guess it was the thing to have everything “matchy matchy” still. Curtains, bedding, etc, it all went together. This go round, I am taking a different approach by choosing a color pallet and getting odds and ends to help everything flow.
We have already bought the bedding which is where the entire color pallet comes from. I won’t be sharing until we reveal the nursery because I want to keep it secret. I LOVE all of the bright colors. We are using Paisley’s nursery furniture which is the crib above along with a white dresser/changing table. I want to paint the walls a neutral color so the decor can be the focal point and not the walls. I bought the cart pictured from IKEA for $30! I plan to use it as storage for diapers, wipes, swaddle blankets, etc.
Even though we are using the same dresser, I want to give it a little bit of a different look with some new floral knobs. The ones pictured are from Anthropologie.
I have a few other things gathered. It’s so much fun to have the main items and be able to just search here and there for little unique finds to give the room character. What are some of your favorite places to find items? Link them up in the comments! :)
