This year I decided that I am going to make a monthly “beauty favorites” post.
If any of you are familiar with http://farmgirlblogs.com/argumentative-essay-on-technology/ blog, she does this and I enjoy it because I am introduced to new products to try. I am also a huge Essie Button fan and she led me to the makeup below. I literally changed my entire makeup routine by adding in these products and I LOVE it.
The powder really lightens up my face. It is a little pricey but it balances out my skin tone well. The highlighter and concealer are my new favorite finds. I’ve had trouble with dark circles and they both really help. I used the MAC cream shadow as a base on my eyelid before I applied the Naked 3 pallet. The blush is a little more of a pink tone then I usually use as well as the Revlon lip color but I think they tie in the hues in the pallet nicely.
I have been using the same makeup brushes for at least six years and it was time for some new ones. I absolutely love the Real Techniques Makeup Brushes! Thank you Essie! My makeup glides on and they are so easy to clean. They are at a great price and you can find them at Ulta.
I love Urban Decay and all of their glorious eye shadow pallets. When I first started using their eye shadow, I bought the small Naked Basics pallet and moved onto the Naked 2 pallet and now the Naked 3 pallet. They are wonderful!
Sorry for the poor iPhone quality photos and our really bright room. They do not do this makeup justice.
When I bought some of this makeup online from Ulta, I also received an adorable little bag full of goodies. They were having a special if you bought $40 worth of product you got it for free. I was so surprised when I opened it.
I love KMS and I am currently hooked on that hairspray. I am a hoarder of MOXIE lip gloss-best stuff ever. I can’t wait to try the rest of the samples-Smashbox, benefit, c. booth, and more.
I am loving this makeup even though I only get dolled up for the weekends now that nursing school and clinicals are in full swing. I hope you enjoyed this first favorites post. Stay tuned for February’s!
