how to write an essay on a bookOur sweet girl got her first pair of glasses this week! We took her for a check up in June to prepare for “big school”and Paisley didn’t pass her eye exam at the appointment. I didn’t think it was too serious but thought it was best to get a second opinion from the optometrist I used to work for.
Turns out, she has really bad eyes. I felt horrible because she’s never complained but then again, she hasn’t known any different. We are hoping that the glasses will correct some of the farsightedness but she also has an astigmatism. She may have glasses for good until she can wear contacts when she’s older. Oh, I am so thankful that we were able to catch this issue before she started school.
She picked out this little pink number and I am convinced that little girls in glasses might be one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. I’m a little partial though. And they have a little cheetah on the side which make them even more adorable. She told us that “these were going to make her smarter and help her learn better.” I loved watching her expressions as she put them on for the first time. She was pretty amazed at how detailed life was. We immediately had to show daddy her new duds at the station. I was a little worried about her confidence (because I’m mom) but she’s totally rocked them and has enjoyed being able to see, duh! She’s done so well at wearing them and taking care of them. This issue totally wasn’t as bad as I prepared for.
It’s these little milestones and moments through my sweet girl who reminds me to count my blessings.

Aww, sweet Paisley! Those pink glasses are perfect on her. I love her attitude about them and how they will make her smarter and learn better! Sweet girl!
