Last night we had our annual Christmas Parade in our town. Our store was open late and it was a super busy night. We have a mailbox for kids to send their letters to Santa. It’s really fun to see their excitement when they drop them off.Paisley had a hot chocolate stand and sold homemade cookies that she and her nana made earlier that day. Then her besite, Crosby, showed up and added to the fun! It was so cute to see them working. They had a ball and everyone commented on how cute their stand was. We donated all of our proceeds to our Main Street program downtown and had a really good sale. The parade began and I was so impressed with the floats this year. It lasted about an hour and was a lot of fun for the girls.
The theme was storybook this year. All floats had to come from some sort of book. Our favorites was the Peanuts that our bank put together, the Grinch float, and the Polar Express. I wish I would have gotten better pictures of everything. The Dr. Suess float had a real Grinch and it seriously looked like the movie version. So good!I borrowed this photo from a friend’s facebook and wished I would have snapped some. The engine looked incredible and Paisley thought it was amazing!
It was a fun night for our family. I love our town’s little traditions.
