After months of hard work, determination, home work, tests, physical trials, stress, and much more, my sweet husband has graduated from the Fire Academy! grammar for essay writing He put in so much hard work and I am so proud of him. Last night we got to witness him accept his diploma and it was such a rewarding experience. We love you so much, Zack! Thank you for all you do for our family. We are so excited to start this new journey with you. And, I’m pretty excited to be a firefighter wife. ;)
Wednesday night, Zack and I snuck off to celebrate our anniversary at Southwind Hills. I had a Pursuit Group there months back and completely fell in love with the place. They just opened up a little cottage not too long ago and when I saw the ad on Facebook I booked it on a whim. They usually have it on the weekends for couples who get married but they also book it during the week to the public. We were their first weekday couple. Christmas season is such a stressful + busy time at the store, not to mention Zack is almost finished with fire school and applying for a job. We don’t see much of each other lately and to say we needed some “us” time is an understatement. The cottage is nestled off away from their wedding venue in a wooded area. Seriously so gorgeous. I won’t ramble on too long and let the photos speak for themselves. The vision I have for my home would seriously be decorated like this space. Wood planks, white walls, chandeliers, rustic meets glam. Hello Pioneer Woman dishes. I ordered these last week and actually got to test them out here. Cannot wait to have them in our house. Before we left I took hubby up for a tour of the barn. We spent the rest of the day enjoying each other in Norman. Lunch was at a favorite spot we frequent, we finished up our Christmas shopping, and had kid free conversations. It was the perfect day with my man.
Here’s to many more. I love you, Zack. Happy Anniversary!
4 years married today, and over 6 years together. What a roller coaster full of life. We’ve moved 3 times, built a home, had two beautiful girls, built great careers and more times than not lived off of love. I couldn’t imagine spending my days with anyone else.
My Farm Boy. My firefighter. My best friend. My spiritual supporter. My teammate. My love. My heart.
Words couldn’t describe how proud of you I am, how much I love you, or the amount of butterflies I still get when I’m around you. I knew when you walked into my parent’s house that October day, you’d be the man I’d marry. I am ever so thankful for God’s timing. Thankful for the many back roads we drove dating, listing to music and planning our days in your 89′ Chevy, the many nights I traveled to see you for only 30 minutes after you worked all day on a tractor, the silly fights, the belly laughs, and long kisses. No matter how long we will be married, I will always see you that way.
You bring so much joy to my life, Zack Owen. Happy Anniversary.
