We started our weekend spending Scout’s birth DAY in the pool at a friends house. She loved her new “flingo” pool float as big sister calls it. We had too much fun and loved splashing and hearing sister giggles all day.essay on a mother Seriously cannot get over her hair. And crisscross baby suits? LOVE! Sunday we celebrated the sweet daddys in our lives with a cookout at my Nana’s house. I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Photos of Scout’s part will be on the blog soon.
Summer nights are here and we couldn’t love them more. Friday we celebrated my dad’s birthday with burgers and cake at my parent’s house. Paisley and I picked up a cake and didn’t have time to get it decorated. So we improvised with toys from the car floorboard (I washed them of course) and stuck them on top with a few candles. Paisley allowed that “Papaw would love it. He’s a cowboy anyways.” Saturday, Paisley and her bestie had an afternoon play date and Scout did her best to keep up with the big girls. Zack worked at the station Sunday while the girls and I had a low key afternoon. This week starts party mode and I will be running around like crazy until Sunday is over. Happy Monday!
Date nights are few and far between when you have children so the time spent not having to rush to get home is so appreciated these days. Friday night we attended a sweet little get together in OKC called Third Friday. This flyer was just for what was in the Plant Shoppe’s lot but there were food trucks, live music, mom and pop up shops, games, and more all down the street. We grabbed a snow cone from this cute little glamper when we walked in.
You might remember my post from when we had our April Pursuit gathering at The Plant Shoppe. They had a DIY succulent bar going on, several merchants in their parking lot, a lounge, and a DJ spinning vinyl all night.
This sweet shop was there and I got to chat with her for a bit. Local Lather makes natural and hand crafted soap, scrubs, oils, and bath bombs. I bought a lemon sugar scrub and it is amazing! I am so excited to have met her because we will now be selling Local Lather in Farm Girl! #shoplocal #buylocal #supportyourmomandpopAfter we shopped and snacked around I tried Coits Root beer by husband’s suggestion for the first time and it seriously will change your life and how you view rootbeer. I’ve never been much of a fan in general but I might take that over Dr. Pepper any day. And that is saying a lot. So good! We ate at our favorite mexican restaurant after and played music triva the whole way home. It was such a good date and a reminder that we don’t do that enough.
So thankful I get to do this crazy life with my best friend. Saturday Zack was at the station and Paisley and Scout spent their day baking cookies at Nana’s. Scout had her first snickerdoodle and approved. :) We took daddy and the guys a big batch of fresh chocolate chip and snickerdoodles and they didn’t last long at all.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a blessed week ahead.
