We had our very first Supper Club Christmas party last night! Our group is something special and when we left last night, I told Zack how blessed we are with the friends we have. It’s a rare occurrence that a group blends this well. I’ve always had my girls but the way our hubbys get a long just as much (maybe too much lol) is really awesome. Their last Christmas before they get married! In six months we will be having a wedding! We had a competitive game of dirty Santa, chicken Alfredo for dinner, and many laughs. This is the Taylors and Griffiths last Christmas as two. Our group is expanding by two. <3 Can’t wait to love on these sweet babes. So many changes for us in 2017 and I can’t wait. Love these people with my whole heart.
Last night we had our first Makers Christmas dinner party. We started this small group of Christian Business Women back in September and I love how close we have gotten in such a short amount of time. You can read previous Makers posts here.
My friend Aubrey and I co-hosted this gathering at her beautiful new home and it couldn’t have come together more perfect. She brought out her china, new table linens, and we pulled off sprigs from a real tree to add garnish to the setting. I brought pine cones from Farm Girl to serve as the holders for the girl’s name cards that Kylee made for us. My friend Cheryl make the buffalo check tea towels and wrapped inside were Lush bath bombs from Aubrey for their gift. So cute! We had our dinner catered by two sweet moms from my church. It was absolutely scrumptious. Ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner rolls, salad, and hot ham and cheese sliders for an appetizer. I’m convinced that hosting a large dinner party must be catered in the future. So much stress off of our shoulders.Fellowship over dinner was such a treat. We talked about our dreams and plans for next year, ways we could bless others with our businesses, what we wanted more of for our family, and brainstormed ideas on ways for all of us to collaborate as a group. Such wonderful conversations were had by candlelight and the hum of Christmas music in the background.
Aubrey had everyone write down their goals and where they wanted to be this time next year. We sealed them in a card and she is keeping them for us to open at next year’s Christmas party. I can’t wait to see the changes that are going to take place.
After dinner we splurged on chocolate cake and a full hot cocoa bar. After dinner, we had an ornament exchange and ended the evening chatting about our upcoming Christmas plans and our vision for Makers next year. I cannot wait for what is in store for all of us.I am extremely thankful for this group of women who honor the Lord, work hard, and love and serve their families well. So blessed to have this community in my life. Merry Christmas, girls!

This weekend we took the girls for our now annual North Pole Express trip with our good friends Aubrey and Jess and their husbands and kiddos. Our hubbys get along so well and the kids just adore one another. We met up in Grapevine to ride the train and per tradition, were running a little late. Not as late as last year’s home alone in the airport re-run but still late. It’s our style. #kidsAubrey and Jess booked the tickets this year and thank goodness they did because we had to get them in September! So, if you are in the area and have been wanting to go, be sure to check in ahead of time because they sell out fast. We also bought all of the kids pjs to match their siblings. Everest didn’t make the trip but has jammies to match big brother Creed! We all scored them on a sale that Hanna Anderson was having this fall. They are super soft and have such cute prints! Be sure to size up one. I plan to make these our Valentine jams too. :) We boarded our train in time and the kids were so excited. We got really good seats up towards the front of the car so the kids had plenty of room and a great view. The conductor punched their tickets as well. Paisley wondered why hers didn’t spell anything. HA!Santa’s helpers passed out Christmas letters for them to fill out and Santa will send a reply to their house. So cute! Then, Mrs. Clause made her appearnce and passed out the magical silver bells to all of the kids. She was super sweet and talked to all of the kids.Group #selfie! Thank goodness Aubrey took photos because I didn’t get many.
After we got off, they take you through the “snow” and tree lot which is super cute. Hubby and I don’t jump in front of the camera much so he got a few shots of us.Then we went to the small Christmas program where Santa comes to see all of the kids. I SO wish I would have gotten a picture of Paisley’s face after Santa walked by and touched her on the shoulder. She tried to play it all cool but her eyes were as big as silver dollars. SO STINKING CUTE. I love our girl and that this is so magical for her and soon to be Scout. On our way to pictures with Santa that we waited in line an hour for, they gave us cups of magic snow milk. Scout hated every second of stranger Santa. The photo is amazing. After pictures
our kids the adults were getting hangry so we headed over to Southlake for some Mexican food, coffee, and shopping. Zack bought me the most amazing cup of snicker doodle hot chocolate with extra cinnamon that was out of this world. The girls and I found Anthro and I picked up a couple of gifts for the girls and their ornaments for this year. I could spend a small fortune in that place. Our husbands were really great at finding the couches and keeping them warm. And I must say, super sweet and patient while we got some girl time in. I wish we did this more often. We had some really tuckered out babies so we got back on the road. The whole drive made me super thankful for the blessed friendships we have. God has been so good to us.
Sunday, we made another trip to Texas for Paisley’s friend, Stran’s, 7th birthday party. She adores these sweet boys and got to roller skate for the first time. She’s been asking for skates this Christmas so it was really nice that she was able to try them out. :) It was a fast and busy weekend but a wonderful one. I love this life and being a momma. Just wishing this childhood stage lasted longer. I’m convinced these are the best parts of a person’s life. Praying our girls always know how much joy they bring us, how much fun we have, and how much we love them. I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas season.
