Weekending

February 1, 2016

1 Feb

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. One of those you didn’t want to end. Saturday, Zack and I got to go on a date, the first since our Anniversary. We went to a movie and had a kid free adult conversation dinner that was pure bliss.12642423_10153248089685685_948483747537643619_nSunday we had church and then I took the girls to my parents while Zack did some work at our house, burning brush and clearing timber. While I was there I was able to get some cute pictures of the girls playing and some of our “farm.” I snapped this of of one of our roping cattle and it’s one of my favorite photos of the weekend. She’s a sweetie.

Paisley rode her horse Bullseye “Sy” for a good hour and we talked all things cowgirl of course. 12439522_10153248306610685_4739744516903727263_n12662030_10153248308305685_9012316907312722676_n12647559_10153248308420685_5685305175811400532_n12645033_10153248308185685_238151949773027937_n12651284_10153248308310685_129102116015322741_n12669554_10153248308130685_2432269502088982934_n12661783_10153248308120685_5990012669506708391_nAfter we did the chores, we went got hold and play with the babies the rest of the afternoon. Her goat had twins a couple of weeks ago and they are the friendliest little babies.12642812_10153248308410685_1720364218076073480_n12647004_10153248308075685_3115994918012266106_n12642590_10153248307995685_2856623992729730893_n12651162_10153248308065685_4589032506112779792_nBear also had to have his picture taken. He’s a mess!12650830_10153248308495685_7726137104098010035_nI hope you all had a restful one! I can’t believe we are into February now. I’ve been a little quite on the blog but have some big news I can’t wait to share and I’m also knee deep in party planning mode for this Sunday. Cannot wait to show you the details!

Meet Bullseye

October 26, 2015

26 Oct

12065905_10153088444885685_2902373488186591105_nYesterday was a special day for our little Cowgirl. Paisley has been in love with horses since she knew what one was. It makes my heart pitter patter knowing that she has such a deep love for them like her mom. I started riding when I was 2/3 (competing at 3) and was so excited when she took interest. She’s had two horses since last year but nothing really “fit” to start learning by herself.

My parent’s found “Sy” from a family friend last week and we just knew he was the one. He’s a 20 year old retired roping horse and is the sweetest guy for our Paisley and the perfect kid horse. When we pulled him out of the barn yesterday, Paisley’s whole face just lit up. We immediately had to jump on and take a ride.11140269_10153088466085685_2977227017534094064_nHe lets her just dote all over him and she is smitten that she has a “big girl” horse like mommy and Papaw.11012193_10153088476500685_7446970808440207789_nMy parent’s kept my first saddle so this whole experience was pretty special for all of us. It needed a good cleaning so she’s using my barrel saddle for the time being.12049248_10153088466235685_7381652979250529120_n

Her first love.12189592_10153088465850685_5342664025336231816_n

She is proud as punch and I am so thankful for the joy he has brought and will bring to her. I’m also pretty stinking excited for a little riding buddy. We love you bunches Paisley and are so happy for you. I can’t wait to see what all you and Bullseye will do in the Cowgirl and Rodeo realm. Yee haw, sweet girl.

Paisley’s First Goat Show

September 4, 2015

4 Sep

Paisley had her first County Fair and goat show today. Delores is her bottle baby we’ve had. My papaw has helped raise her and she is like a little puppy. I started showing livestock when I was three//I am so excited Paisley was interested in doing the same.Thursday we went up and washed and groomed her. If you follow me on periscope you were in the wash pen with us. :)IMG_969011891157_10153700471059274_8586733786858743435_nShe was pretty fascinated with the dryer.PicMonkey CollageFriday was her big day! She was super excited and did a great job! About half way through she decided she was done, collected her ribbon and let Papaw hold Delores but it was super cute and we are proud of her for going out there and doing it.11666038_10153004502940685_2318705050045341395_nDSC_3198 DSC_3277Papaw had to help a little.DSC_3280 DSC_3282 DSC_3291 DSC_3293 DSC_3303 DSC_3304 DSC_3314 DSC_331611150923_1065576883467547_7100896014706933059_nShe went home with my mom for a couple of hours and crashed. Goat showin’ is hard work!
