Welcome to the family, our newest addition Cowgirl! The girls took the loss of Bear pretty hard so we made the decision to get a puppy last month. She’s a sweetheart and I pray that she brings the girl so much joy.
Life has been a whirlwind lately since Paisley started school. I’m hoping by next week I am back on to blogging regularly. This weekend I came down with a lovely bug from daycare so I was down for the count while hubs worked a 48. So thankful for my parents who helped man the girls Saturday evening and most of Sunday. Last night I felt well enough to see progress on my parent’s new house and then check the cows. Paisley’s longhorn Rose stopped to say hello. She has the prettiest lashes and is such a good mama. We took the girls on the golf cart through the pasture and caught this little gem on video. Listen for our two little cows in the back ground. LOL
This girl has been walking non stop and finally started to wear shoes. She is seriously hilarious and is loving her mobile freedom. Her sister started to “
walk run” about the same age. Time to break out the Nike’s again. We realized that she too has known for sometime how and probably has been walking because she didn’t take the traditional toddle steps. She just headed towards dad and didn’t have a care. Little mess.Said shoes. I can’t handle the cuteness of baby Birkenstock lookalikes. Gymboree. Go grab them. And those little tiny pigs. <3 I started a new book. It has been on my must read list for sometime and I sort of forgot about it until I saw the movie trailer last week. Yeah, I won’t be wearing makeup to that one. The book is amazing so far. Go to the library, y’all. The only snap chat filter that removes “most” of the bags under my eyes. You could pack for weeks in them. #momstatus SC: sweetkenzielouThursday was hair day for Mom and Pais. She wanted to “paint her hair red like Ariel” but Sheila had to decline the request until she’s at least 16. HA! I had a few inches taken off of mine, covered a few grays, and added a little dark to mix in with my natural and cover up the blonde I did for summer.
We also celebrated my best friend’s birthday with a mini surprise party at her house. <3 She shouldn’t let people know where the hide-a-key is. ;) Love this girl more than words can say and so thankful she is our little’s god mother. And we spent many nights visiting Daddy at the station, honking the horn and turning on the lights. I love that she still says “fighter fighter” and I’ll be clinging to that little voice for as long as I can. Why do kids have to grow up? I hope you all have a great week! I have a few posts lined up that I am excited about and can’t wait to share.
Happy Monday, y’all! I hope your weekend was wonderful. Our’s was low key, just the way I like it. Zack was at the station Saturday so the girls and I hung out with my parents for the most part. I got off around 4 o’clock Saturday and went to check cattle and fish with Dad and Paisley. We didn’t have much luck this round. We have had a ton of rain the last several days and the ponds were way too muddy.
Sunday my dad woke us up to a pancake breakfast and Zack picked us up after shift for church. That afternoon we helped dad haul two heifers off to the sale barn since they haven’t produced calves for us and spent Sunday evening relaxing and preparing for the week ahead. We are supposed to have a little more rain and hopefully no bad weather. But, you never know in Okie land.
